Carvings Menu - Order of operations?

Does the carvings menu show in hierarchal fashion show the order of operations to be performed? Like in the tree list the top carving gets done first, followed by the one below it and so on?
I'm wondering if I need to order these for most efficient tool path or if the machine does this for me?
Or does the machine print everything in one swipe like a printer when carving.
I'm not using any patterns only vector shapes with tool paths.

I am afraid that the order of operations is independent of the order in the carving list. Raster carve - vector paths - drills - cutouts - then edge routes. As for vector paths, the machine will choose the order and there is little you can do. (One useful thing to note is that vector paths are routed in the same direction as they were drawn.)

Ok, that's fine, I'm just used to G-Code sequential hierarchy stuff...
