I'm considering making about ten cribbage boards for Christmas presents.

If you are familiar with the game, it requires drilloing a series of holes in tworows 1/8 diameter and the distance between each hole lengthwise is 5/16"
The attached photos show the layout

Obviously laying out such a board by hand by marking up a wood piece is time consuming and less acurrate

I feel sure the machine can drill the holes with no problem but can the designer lay it our with the needed precison.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A few of the Pattern Makers have "Mastered" the art of the holes and offer the patterns at many locations including the LHR Pattern Depot... I have a few...

Many posts of the holes going off in one direction or another making expensive firewood, especially when you use the "Attachments" or "Restraints" in the location of the hole....

Save the grief and just pay for a professional pattern... they make GREAT GIFTS....

Do a search, lots of posts and pictures on this topic..

Great suggestion Al! Here are a few I have done in the past. I can't share these as I have purchased a couple of them. Terry Thompson has some awesome designs. Here is the link.

I agree, Terry T has some awesome cribbage board designs. If you buy a pattern you can use the basic hole pattern and change the scene.
