1. Is there a default bit when carving a pattern?
2. Is it possible to change to a different bit when carving a pattern?

One can select the carving bits under board settings in project designer.
In version 3.102 of the software you may choose from 1/32,1/16,1/8,3/16,1/16 long, and 1/8 long.
When you are setting up the project in the machine it will ask for the bit you want to use and you can select the bit you want.
If you choose you may change the bit from the one that was saved to the project.
There are many ways to also trick the machine and install a bit not listed.

Excellent. Thanks!

How are feed and speed determined for xyz cutting?

Feed rates are based on bit selected. No other adjustments on bit rate.

Ok, so the only control I have over how hard the machine is pushed is depth of cut. Huh.
Ok Thanks!
