Conference registration and hotel code is now available at http://www.carvewright.com/carvewright-conference/

Our rate stayed the same for the 4th year in a row despite rising costs, but we will not be having the Carving Contest this year in order to keep the rates the same. We will have our Show & Tell and encourage Sponsorships.

Hello,

I have a few questions,

What is the best airport to fly in from Philadelphia? How far is the airport from the conference center? Will all the seminars/presentations be held at the conference center?

Just trying to see what my necessities will be such as rental car of shuttle service.

Thanks,

Woody

Woody,

The closest airport and probably the most convenient is Hobby airport. I believe it is about 30 miles from the conference site. Check the hotel website for a map. Yes all the conference seminars are held at the conference center as far as I know. There are social events each evening off site, but generally those with out transportation can get a ride to and from the event. You can't go wrong on the conference based on my experience the past two years. They have been well worth while. I am sure Connie will respond to your questions if with more information.

Sorry, I missed these questions.

The hotel does not offer any shuttle services.

Hobby is just under 13 miles from hotel and unless rush hour, should take less than 20 minutes. Taxi services are available to and from hotel.

Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is on the north side of Houston 42 miles away. Taxi services are available, but cost an arm and a leg.

All classes are at the hotel.

Evening events will be in easy driving distance and there should be plenty of spare room in vehicles for you to ride with someone else.

Houston Hobby (HOU) is serviced well by Southwest airlines. Not a plug for them but I believe they service PHL as well.

Hoping/planning on making it to the conference this year.
Is it necessary to bring a laptop? I run my Designer on a desktop so I would have to borrow a laptop if I need one.

Many do bring their laptops, but they are absolutely not required.
