Is it the card or card reader??

My card reader is on (green light) but the software cannot initialized it no matter how many times I reinsert it.
Is it the card or the card reader?

Was working yesterday!

Any suggestions?

I've had this happen before and just restarting computer and replugging reader has fixed it. Still using same one several years!
