Finally finished a couple of book boxes made from some mesquite and Texas ebony from my cousin's ranch in south Texas. A special thanks to Chebytrk for the pattern assistance. The boxes are going in the mail tomorrow along with a couple of fresh turned mesquite bullet pens.7419874199

Those are really great they show off your talents.. what type of hinge did you use? The bullet pen is absolutely great.. way beyond my capabilities.

For the hinge I drilled a 1/8 hole in the cover and installed a dowel. The trick was rounding off the edges just enough so that the cover could open and close without binding.
