I'm trying the 1/32" carving bit for the first time. I uploaded my file and went to the carver. When it gets to bit selection, the control panel is requesting the 1/16" bit. I took my memory card back to the computer, made sure the 1/32" bit was selected and re uploaded. The machine again asked for the 1/16" bit. I installed it and continued the set up. The machine went straight to carving and never requested the 1/32" bit. Any suggestions?

Just double checking, You did make the bit change by using the "board settings", "pattern bit" ??

Is the newest firmware installed on the card? I think old firmware will default to the 1/16 carving bit since it knows nothing of the 1/32 carving bit.

I am running 3.102, build 12440 and the firmware is 3.001.12263. If this is not the newest firmware, how do I find it. My computer is set to auto download the newest version.

When you upload your project to the card, it should tell you that the firmware is old and ask you if you want to update it. You must have said no. Just upload again watch for the message. Or run Flash Manager under the file menu.

I just ran it again. I don't get a window asking about update. I ran the flash manager and all I can do is see what version of firmware is installed.

I just reloaded the 3.102 update and re-licensed it. When I uploaded a file, the firmware update window came up. Now I just have to run out to the CW machine and see if it is working there. Thanks for the help.
