best wood for spoons ?

We have probably discuss this before, what is the best or second best wood for making spoons that will be used in cooking.

I am getting back into the spoon business this spring and was just wandering.

I have had pretty good results with maple

I agree with using maple. It carves well and holds up well in use for cooking.... Tight grain and durable
