my machine is having fits of some kind. It has become very sensitive to proving the tracking, and measuring. I'm doing a two sided job, which I've done successfully numerous times, but now when I flip the piece and it starts to measure it, it goes into a closed loop, can not stop, attempt to measure the width of the board. Back and forth until I just shut off the power as the stop button doesn't have any affect. Where do I start?

Could it be a board tracking issue.... Is the board flat and straight??? Another potential issue might mean clearing the memory card and re-loading your project...

What color is the board?

The board is flat and straight and I, in fact, tried both a light and dark wood with no luck. I initially had a piece on a sled to get the minimum length but also tried it with a solid board, both colors, same issue. I will try to poll the card from the carver and reinsert but shutting it down hadn't helped so am pessimistic.

Card may need to be re formatted and project re loaded...

I spose I should know this, but how is the card reformatted? I don't remember doing this or where I read about it. Thanks for the patience.

When in Designer, from the file menu choose FLASH MANAGER. You will see an option to format the card.
