Can anyone give me a heads up or point me to the faq as to how to carve both sides of a project? Will the machine ask if one wants to carve the front or back, or do you have to carve the front, flip, carve the back?

As always, any help is greatly appreciated. This is a simple shelf with a left and right side.

It should ask you to load the board with the back side first. After carving the back, it will then ask you to flip the board. Remember to flip it side to side, NOT end to end.

Thanks. If a I may, and I know this has been answered but if my project is 11.25 wide, and I add 1.5 strips to both sides so the rollers don't fall in the "dado" for the shelves, how do i account for that 1.5 inches when carving?

you shouldn't have to do anything. If the vector for the daddo is the same length as the width of the project.
The daddo will be cut the radius of the selected bit into the 1.5 in strips
The machine will measure and ask to where to place the carving. select center on board
