I'm making a frame using the steps from the February 2009 Tips and Tricks on how to make a picture frame. I have the board in the machine and it's carving the back now but I'm a little confused. I need to put it on a sled before I cut out the center and the outside, don't I? I've reread the tips twice and can't find any mention of a sled at all. Doesn't seem right.

You will not need a sled if your real board is larger than the board in designer. :) All of the cutouts happen on the second side of the carve, and the tabs will hold the frame in place. You will need to make sure that you have at least a half inch of clearance on the keypad side - it will not complete the cut if it is closer, to protect the roller, and a good idea on the opposite side. So, if the frame design is 10 inches from the key pad across, make your real board at least 11 inches wide.

Yea my length and width are good I was concerned with the cutting bit might go through to machine bed. Specifically on the outer cut.
