Is there an easy way to set the numbers up on a clock so they are the same size and in the right position. the pattern will be in the middle and the numbers will be on the outside edge.

Thanks Kevin

I draw some construction lines and a circle. When you place the numerals individually, the white line indicates the center of the text - place it at the intersection of the circular and straight construction lines. Adjust the text height to be the same by typing in the height in the box at the top of Designer.

If you start with my attached Designer 1 mpc and click on the group name "face", you can stretch the face to whatever size you want.

Ok thanks that's a big help. Do you use centerline text for the numbers and if so 90 deg bit or 60 deg

I did use centerline with a 60 degree bit as these numerals are fairly small and the stroke width is narrow. You can easily change the bit or switch to raster if need be.

This may help also. Scale the 12 sided polygon using the corner handles and place the numbers at the corners.

And on the Centerline V60 and V90... If you design the text in V90 but load a V60 you will get a "I" that looks like 2 Y's one up side down.

I like the polygon idea...

Is there a particular font you were looking at? I'll make a DXF file if you have the importer.

Ok thanks some great ideas. And no I was not thinking of any special font just curious to see what everyone was doing. I am going to start with a Fire Maltese cross.

There are 360 degrees in a circle, and 12 numbers on the clock... so you should rotate each number 30 degrees more than the last ('1' is 30, '2' is 60, '3' is 90, etc.). Just a tip aside from figuring out where to put them... the 12 sided polygon is probably the best/easiest method for finding even placement.
