View Full Version : refresher coarse on "inset" settings on cutpath

It has been a while since I used the "inset settings" on the cutpath feature.
attached is the page showing the setting box. I want to used flip to the out side
and add additional movement to the outside. When I enter the -0.25 the box stays red and it want let me accept it.
Help!

You cannot inset by more than the diameter of the bit. You need make a larger path. Path offset would work if you have it.

Correction: 0.125 seems to be the limit for all cutting bits.

Thank you for the info, I have path offset, we are back to the arc problem again

I have never seen the problem that bad. Could you upload the path so I can play with it?

This also happens when you have a rect with inside arc corners too

I had a problem like that with tag corners and if I made it a carve region and outlined it again and deleted my first outline path it was more stable,,,

Just a thought....

One can also us the trim tool to break and remove the annoying overlaps.
