I committed to a date on a job just before my board sensor reading decided not to go over 65. It's on backorder 10 days I'm told. Any way to finish my carving?

Try aluminum foil instead of masking tape on the edges where the sensor measures. Accuracy may be sacrificed but I think the numbers will go up. Report if it works!

Or just cut the back off the sensor, remove the window and clean it...

Use tape to seal it back up catching the edge of the plastic window.

And the standard to test the board sensor is to crank down on a piece of white paper and that should give you a 156 for perfect. A 90, a dirty lens...

And look at the board where the plug is and for little rectangles marking components. It is common to RIP OFF one of the components pushing and pulling the plug if your not careful. With the missing component, you need a new board sensor.... Someone else actually pointed this out to me...
