View Full Version : carve deeper into another field.

I am making a card tray and I designed a spot for the cards but then its hard to get your fingers under to pick the last ones up. so I made a spot for fingers but it wont carve deeper into the spot where i carved for the cards. any ideas?

You could have reached the max depth of the carve or it is a setup problem? Post the mpg if you can.

Won't carve it on the machine again? Or won't let you do it in the software?

in the software it shows it wont. All I did was do a rectangle 3.75 X 2.75 and hollow it out to .75 then beside it (but protruding into the first) another .75 X 1 hollowed to .8 and it will carve to the .8 until it gets to the one thats .75 and it wont go the .8

in the software it shows it wont. All I did was do a rectangle 3.75 X 2.75 and hollow it out to .75 then beside it (but protruding into the first) another .75 X 1 hollowed to .8 and it will carve to the .8 until it gets to the one thats .75 and it wont go the .8

Try menu: carving - carving clip exclusive on the first 0.75 rectangle.

You could add two Ovals to the rectangle, you will need to Merge the rectangle to add the ovals.

As Bergerud said, Apply a "Clip Carving: Exclusive" to the first rectangle.

You could do a Drill Hole .8 deep x .75 on each side of the Carve Region...
