I went to Lube my cable the other day and I did not wait the 20 hrs just did it.But when I spun the retainer ring to free the ball bearing it droped out of sight into no man's land.In case this happens to you just grab a BB from your son or neighbor or just buy a small box at walmart at the sporting goods section next to the BB guns they work perfectly well.
Thanks,
Ben

No need to do anything to the retainer ring just
hold the truck and pull the flex shaft straight up ;)

I tried pulling the flex shaft when attempting to remove the top cover. It would not budge. Is there a trick to getting it out?

Dartman,
I'm a JERK and that's what I do when I pull the cable many, many times.
