If I have a 1/2" thick board can I make the following assumptions?

If black=0 and white=1/2" Does it increment equally? 25%B=1/8" 50%B=1/4"?

Assuming Depth set at 0.500" and height at 200, 0% (white) would be flush with surface and 100% (black) at 0.500" deep, 75% at 3/8", 50% at 1/4" and 25% at 1/8" (all within a few thousandths of an inch)

That's been my assumption.

I made this greyscale up real quick in Illustrator it's in increments of 5. Ranging from 0 to 100, maybe it will help someone also tried to upload a ptn file. But couldn't
I've been trying out the trial software

If you invert. CW is reverse of standard.

You are correct, of course. I still think in the standard orientation and Invert when importing now as a matter of habit.
