I just picked up an old Sears display machine which I bought for parts. It was pretty stripped-down without even a spindle that the flex shaft could go into but yet it did have a faux spindle with just a flex shaft sheath connected to it.
The real interesting thing was that the truck had aluminum races around the bearings instead of the retainer ring that often falls out. I thought this was interesting and seemed to be a better set up then the rings. Does anyone have experience with these races? I have a bad truck with a carve tight on it. The retainer rings keep falling out of it and I was thinking of using this other truck and putting the carve tight on it and leaving the Aluminum races.
Perhaps someone from LHR could chime in?
