View Full Version : carving simple logo

A friend has asked me to carve a modification of his company's logo. I was somewhat successful in removing the text, but when I imported into Designer, the background carves as a recess. All I want is the line drawing (I would prefer that it be narrower, but that might be asking too much :). Is there a way to carve just the drawing without the background? Tried to attach mpc, but apparently not successful.

Thanks

Well, this is a good, "how would you do this" challenge! And don't just do it. Use this as a teaching lesson or a learning lesson. Use the drawing tools in basic and the demo of 3d Pattern Modeling Suite software.
Would be great as a step by step tutorial or a Tips and Tricks.

When you import the image in to make it a pattern use the lower tool in the import window to remove the background.

Bottom line, unless you have a high quality image or love spending lots of time in Pattern Editor, use the tools to reCREATE the logo.

Thanks! I'll try it out later today. I wasn't looking for that much help, just some explanation of how I might do this. I'm very grateful for your help!
