Problems with a pattern

I am working on a pattern in Designer 2.007. I have attached the mpc. The dogbone shaped outline is what is giving me problems. I want to assign a cut path to this but I can’t get the outline pattern to work. I was going to adjust the lines but every time I click on one of the lines it just disappears. I am also still having problems with ‘gui.exe’ just shutting down on me. Also my ‘open with preview’ isn’t.

You just have a bunch of lines not connected. The nodes on the ends of the lines need to be connected.

they are all just one lines. don't close lines to start a new one . they must connect one to the next when drawn.

I understand all that but why do the lines just disappear when I try to connect them and now when I try to start with new lines 'gui' shuts down as soon as I start. Any idea why designer won't 'open with preview'?

Try turning off your hardware acceleration or back on. Under edit preferences.
