I'm making out my conference parts and bits list. I was just wandering for those who may have used the long carving bits
which one would be better to start off with, I assume the 1/16" is for more detail and 1/8" is to move out more wood.
I use the 3/16" regular carving bit when I am carving a region with not much detail, would this be true for the long bits?
Can the "long bits" be used for any carvings, such as a deep dish carving or is it for the rotary jig only?
I also notice there is not a "long cutting bit" for sale or did I miss it in the bits sale section.
Any comments would be helpful.
