A week or so ago I carved an Icon out of oak that the customer supplied. It was a side panel of a desk. The carving has started separating at the seams where the boards were glued together. Is there a way to fix it.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/18/u5ymu5ah.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/18/rydubu3y.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/18/e9ejyqy9.jpg

Yes this can be fixed. Spread the glue seam apart and add glue use air to blow the glue as deep into the joint on front and back. Clamp and clean glue on top of board. let dry.If you use epoxy lemon will clean over flow of epoxy (west system) .

Nice work. Happy Carving.

That's a great tip on using compressed air to get the glue into a tight joint area. Thanks, Roger. I had always used thin paper strips, razor blades - whatever was thin enough that I could attempt to "shove" glue into the crack or seam for repairing stuff like that. Your forced-air tip had never occurred to me! Thank you again.

Hypodermic needles work pretty good too. You can get them at most pet supply stores.

Thanks Michael T . One that is also good is metal strapping. Cut with snips are great for scrapers . They are free and work great to clean glue from flat or sandwiched glue joints. Just cut a small strip and drag along the joint. Saves on sanding and sandpaper

Thank you for the tips. I will work on that this next week and see how it comes out. I will post the results once I get it done.
