X stalls are rare. Do you have dust collection? Could the belts be fouled up with dust? Was the 3/16 bit sharp?

I have dust collection on a 3hp collector. the bit was new, used 2 times before this. I noticed a little bit of dancing back and forth just before the stall.

Sounds like it could be a tracking problem. Look closely at the brass roller. Press it down and see how close it comes to the rubber belt. If the rubber belt is turning the brass roller, the x drive would react and, with the 3/16 bit in the wood, that could give the stall.

Thank you for your feed back. I will be inspecting it better in the morning when I get more light.

Could be a broken X Gear.....

Or tapered board jamming in thickness or twisted board on the belt moving left or right up against the left or right guide.

Could be a X Termination Board Failure as the signal goes through the board.

Could be sawdust inside the X Gearbox.
