This happened today to my carvewright machine....
The bottom part, where the flex shaft goes in to the cutting motor fell apart or came off.....I don't know what happened to it.

I was in the bathroom when I heard a change in the motor running.

Is there a solution to this other than having to buy a new cutting motor or can I get another housing for my cutting motor??

Any advice will be very appreciated!!!!

I do not think you can buy just the casing. If it is a good motor, maybe you could epoxy it back together. It would be a project.

mannwranglers,

About a month ago I had basically the same problem. I ended up taking the cut motor out of the machine and used epoxy to glue the pieces back together and put some pressure on it and left everything alone for the next 2 days. Evidently I did a good enough job as it is working fine now.

I've used JB Weld to repair part of the cut motor case.

I had one just the other day that I repaired and even reinforced it with safety wire. Haven't tested it as I haven't had a need but confidence is high...

Like I mentioned in the email and as seen here... Epoxy is your friend...
