OK, well I finally tried to play with this new feature today thanks to a customer question. (Thanks John)

He and I were BOTH having the same issue making it work. We could change the wood color of the SKIN, but not CORE and could not assign thickness of either. He had gotten it to work on another computer, but not his second computer.

Reason: You must have a graphics card that has OPEN GL version 2.1 or higher.

(This is also the reason some people can't use the Lithophane viewer...myself included.)

I just really don't want to give up my XP. :(:(:(

Works for me with XP. Maybe you just need a better graphics card. (I am sure someone at work has an old one they could give you.)

It's the graphics card not XP.

Right, but you said you did not want to give up your XP and confused me!

Henry I don't know if you are trying to get this effect but your carve was set at being a pierced carve

My walk-through-example to Henry had pierced on, so it was easier to see "through" the board at all the layers.

It (pierced) isn't necessary to use the skin feature, of course.
