Here is my mpc with extra vector line that are not suppose to be there as discussed in another thread about a similar matter.
What is causing this extra line , will it be cut when I run the machine?

As I said in the other thread, the problem is caused by duplicate vertices. (at 21.4,9.19 as the message reports.) Here it is after I removed the extra vertex.

Dan, he is using 1.187 designer and like myself can not open it, since it is an MPC saved in designer 2.0

I just realized that and it took me awhile to fix it in 1.187.

Look at carving list to find these. Best place to start.

I do not think you can see this in the carving list. You have to go find the duplicate vertex and delete it. In this case, it is hard because of the constraints. First remove the surrounding constraints so the points can be separated.

So, is a duplicate vertex caused by me clicking twice in the same location and contiuing on with the line? As you can tell, I know next to nothing about computers. How do you tell the location of the vertices . I know the message tells numbers, but I don't know how the numbers show the location. Maybe I need to read the book "Carvewright for dummies" Thanks for all the help everyone.

I am running 1.187 so everyone should be able to open it.

The double vertex can come from clicking twice as you say. When you get the duplicate vertex message, write down the coordinates. Then, when the project is open, look in the bottom left corner of the window. You will see the coordinates displayed there as you move the mouse around the board.

That's what thoughs numbers are for!! I use the depth numbers but never had a use for the others, thanks a bunch.
