3/16" Bit Differences

Have a stupid question. Sometimes my machine prompts me for 3/16" Cutting bit, and sometimes for a 3/16" vector cutting bit. Is there a difference in the bits? Is one supposed to be the 3/16" carving bit and one the 3/16" cutting bit?

I believe the "cutting" and "vector" bits are the same thing, the straight 3/16" bit. The difference is probably the operation the bit is doing.
