Need Some help with a pattern please !!!!

Could someone help me with a pattern ?? I've been trying to get a decent pattern outta the attached image ... Been going back and forth with Paint and Pattern editor and really can't get a decent pattern ... I'm really not to good with these artistic software programs ... Any help would be appreciated ... ALSO I'M USING 1.87 not 2.0 .... Thanking you in advance ...

Thx Ed ,,,, Knew someone would come through,, this is such a good group of people.... I can use data base N spreadsheet software ,, but this other stuff,, I just haven't got a grasp on it yet !!! I'm trying though ...

It was just a .png image to copy. This was so you could edit it yourself.
