This is a scale model of an end table I am building.... Turns out that the scale model makes a nice serving dish holder.... The end table will be 30 inches high with the two sided lion legs holding up a 32 inch tempered glass top... The same way the small one holds up the bowl... The legs will have to be cut in two pieces left and right and a silhouette cut in the middle and then all three glued together to make a 2.5 inch thick leg....

Clever idea. From the pictures it looks like it turned out great. The first picture looks like silver. What kind of paint did you use?

I used gold leaf paint then I put on stain over that with a rag so it's way less metallic looking in the finished product

awesome idea, it looks great I have looked at that lion a thousand times and never thought of using it in that manner.

How did you attach the wood shelf to the lions?
