Here is one I just finished for some local WWII veterans in an assisted care facility. They had purchased a beautiful piece of black walnut that was 8 inches wide and 10 feet long. I tried to carve it all in one piece but kept getting tracking errors (even with support stands, etc) so I cut it into three pieces and carved it with a 3/16 bit. It required zero sanding and tonight I'm applying a water based Min Wax poly finish. Will give it to them Wednesday at an Honors Flight luncheon. 6740567405

Looks great! I recently made one for a fellow vet who served wayyyyyyyyy back when. LOL It was an honor making it for him. As I researched his rank I discovered that it's no longer used.
