designer favorites

I need to move my favorites to another computer, does anyone know where the program keeps them? Can they be moved??? :shock:

Jeff, I believe he's referring to the Favorites in the Carvewright library...

D, the only way I know of is to go down the list, right-clicking on each file and exporting it to a folder in your My Documents (or where-ever). I do that and then save them to a thumb drive, so I can take them with me back and forth between home and work...

A great new feature would be for Designer to save all these patterns in a separate designated folder, to make it easy to swap and backup patterns..

would be easier just to use windows explorer to find the directory where they are stored highlight them all at once and copy them.
Simple enough a basic windows task.

Jeff is correct on their location, CW save them as a single file named (favorites.mpn)

As a note in CW Designer under favorites you can establish sub-folders to keep things sorted.
