I had a friend approach me to carve 21 Knights of Columbus Plaques. At first I told him no, as I would have lost money. I still didn't make much, not enough to cover labor, machine time and wood. Floyd helped me out with the initial pattern as I struggled with the pattern tool. The second plaque is a hbyrid of some of the plaques I have seen on the forum. The Marine Plaque was fun, the Knights of Columbus plaque was too much like work ;). Both plaques are made out of Cherry.

Very nice work. I love Cherry. I helped build a library out of it once and they had to glaze it to get the color they wanted. it made me sick to my stomach. They could have used anything if they were going to paint it.

Great to see you got it carved! Yes doing that many of one item can seem like work but from the looks of the finishes product I would say it was time well spent. They should be very pleased with your efforts.
