I didn't use the Carvewright to cut these but, I did use it to cut out the template for the lathe duplicator. The template for the salt and pepper mill is not shown but, the wood is Bubinga. The wood for the stoppers from left to right is Mesquite, Zebra Wood, Paduk, and Mesquite again

Okay, I'll try to answer everyone's questions. I have a Jet 16/42 lathe with a Vega D48 duplicator (pictured in attachment). The finish I used on the salt and pepper mill was:
2 coats of shellac
3 coats of General Finish's Armor Seal
buffed with 0000 steel wool between each coat

The finish on the bottle stoppers is 4 coats of thin cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) used as a finish with a final buff using Stick Fast CA polish.
