I just finished this project as a Christmas present for my daughter. I imported a picture that I had taken of her cat and then added a number of details with puffs to achieve the required shapes. I also made 8 other boxes for my nieces with various other carvings made with the CW system. I started these projects in July and just finished them in time for Christmas.

Very nice work; obviously not your very-first project!
This is the type of project that makes mine look amaturish.

Wow! Very impressive. Did you do the cutout for the inlay with the Carvewright?

No the inlays were done with a table router. My hobby has been woodworking for more than 4o years. I have made a lot of furnitue over the years and I continue to new skills including inlaying, veneering, carving with the CW system and recently intarsia. After 40 years my shop is fairly complete - but one never has enough tools. My goal is to incorporate the CW carvings and some intarsia projects into the furniture that I make my myself and relatives.

Attached are the tops of two other jewlry boxes that I made using the CW system and also with inlays.
