Had a request by a local flooring company to come up with new entrance for their showroom using their logo as the center piece. The 3 carves took about 2 hours each and is my first attempt at a wide project. Intent is to biscuit join the pieces and either stain or paint the piece. It will then be inset in a hardwood floor boarder and then the thought is to protect it with an epoxy or bar top surface. I'll keep you all posted on the progress, assuming the company likes the direction we're headed.

Epoxy will last a long time to protect your hard work and last. Hope to see more .

Cool! I've used and can recommend Envirotex Lite.

Dick do you use heat to remove air pockets for Envirotex Lite. ?

The company says it is actually CO2 that disperses the bubbles. The bubbles will rise to the surface. You can wave a propane torch over the surface, but you can also just breathe on it - that worked for me.
