firmware change = z axis stall

Hey DickB - you still there?

You were right. I upgraded my project designer software and got a z axis stall message immediately. I was using a 1/16 carving bit in a carvewright adapter. I spent all afternoon trying to figure out the problem, then I read your post.

Turns out my bit length was too long. When I reset it, it worked like a charm! No more z axis stall!

You're welcome. Curious how you changed the length of the bit.

the carvewright quickchanger bit adapter holds the bits in with two machine screws on either side. One can loosen them with a hex key and adjust the positioning of the bit up or down.
