Help with design

I have been trying to get a design set the way I want and not having any luck. There are two arc, shaped like a heart. I want to cut them as a cut path but can't get that option to be available. Can someone help me. I am attaching the file.

Mirror does not work. Un-mirror, copy, paste, flip, line up halves, and then with both halves selected, connect the end points by dragging one onto the other.
