Need some guidance here, I am making a speaker baffle and want to carve a region out of a puffed area. Is this possible? I have tried a couple different things with no luck. Any idea how to do this, it seems simple and maybe im just missing something here.

Hi Robert,

Did you make the puff shape a pattern?(i.e., a PTN). If not, go ahead and do so. Place the PTN on the board, then you should be able to use a carve region as normal (or you can try the Invert tool and/or Merge Subtract to see if that will do the trick on your existing puff). Hard to tell without seeing your actual project file. If you post your MPC (project file), we can take a look. I'm sure it's an easy fix, that is if you need any further help.

Yes, I made it a pattern with the carved region, odd thing, I did an invert on the pattern and the carved region shows up, but you dont see it in the normal view

Figured it out, set my carve region area and desired depth, then set the merge style to subtractive, after that clicked invert on the region and voila! it worked!
