Where are you mounting the strip?

While I had the cover off for maintenance I placed the LED light strip to the under side of the cover. It has a peel away adhesive backing and you can cut them to length.

The power source is 12VDC and I ran the wires out the back near the exhaust vent. I have not mounted the 2.1 mm power jack yet that connects to a wall power adapter I had laying around. Also mounted an on/off switch on the right side of the cover.

I will post the inside picture when get home.
Not sure if the hyperlink will work, I'm using my
smartphone.

The link works, however I have a question. It says that is 16 foot long. Can you cut it up to short pieces

yes you can cut it to what ever length you want. you just have to use another power supply, cord, and on/off for each run that is not connected.

Here is the correct link for the LED Light Strips, $10 at Amazon Prime.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005EHHLD8

Mounted the LED adhesive strip under the cover and added an on/off switch. The LED strip can be cut in sections of 3 so you can have a length of your choice. Also drilled some small holes in the cover ribs and wrapped a wire around the strip. The power plug mounted at the back close to the exhause vent. I was concerned the light would cause issues with the board photo sensor but has not so far.

It's amazing how well you can see inside the machine.
