conforming picture to a surface

Stuck.... trying to conform a picture to a surface that is oval and puffed. The conform button is not highlighted what am I doing wrong,?

Put your mpc on here and have a look at it

Conform is for vectors. Merge is for rasters (patterns). Sounds more like you might want clip carving.

Connie the clip carving did the trick ,thanks... Now the other question is can a picture imported into designer. be saved only in a square or rectangle. Can it be used made to conform the edges to a circle or oval without distorting the picture. I would post the mpc but not real sure how to perform the feat. Probably not real tough just that I do not the key strokes.
