We have dates and location for our 2014 Conference. It will be at South Shore Harbor in League City TX. This is the same location as last year, but in different rooms.

The dates are June 26-28th.

We will have the registration available on our store in the next couple of days.

We will have more information such as speakers and schedule closer to the event.

The costs of the convention are the same, meals, giveaways, audio, guest speakers, printing, etc. If you are carversclub, it is $30 off this month.

I agree with what Floyd asked. Pattern editor session would be good. Floyd helped me out late last year on taking a "Knights of Columbus logo" and getting it correct to make some plaques. Maybe a session on importing something like an Knights of Columbus Logo (I did have permission from the Knights) or Shriners or some other logo and getting it correct in the Pattern Editor, then using it in designer would be great. Also, add on if you have the 2D or 3D, here is what else you could do with this logo. The videos on 2D and 3D are good, but not much on the site on the Pattern editor other than a basic overview. One other idea, might be to have a speaker host a one hour session with a "How would you do ...", where we could ask the speaker quick little questions. Would be random, but I know someone like Joe could field these questions and give us an idea on how he would accomplish the task.

"reservations" is offsite third party. First time I asked, she said "no rooms available". Then I said, we have a block for Lhr or carvewright and she said no again. Then I explain and she said we have no rooms for 24 or 25, explained further about our contract and I didn't need or ask for the 24th. Magically, there were rooms for us under CarveWright checking in on 25th and out on 29th. Urrrrgghhh!!

Tell them they are a block of rooms under CarveWright (no space and right is spelled Wright.

Make your reservations NOW. If we need to add more to the block, we need to do it soon. They are booking up fast. It is a resort area. There are also other hotels, if we need to block some, we can.

Just some info on the reservation for the conference, I just locked my room in and the rooms at are blocked are King singles, no double beds
so you may not be able to share a room unless this can be corrected.

I finally got thru to Reservations and was able after a lot of explaining to get 2 rooms reserved for June 25-28 @$110.00 per nite plus tax. I was able to get the same rooms for two day before conference @ $119.00 per nite plus tax. Both rooms were a non smoking king bed. Thanks for all of your help.

Blocked room dates are Wednesday 25th through Saturday night 28th. Rates should be good for all four nights.

I just called reservations and got a room with 2 double beds, checking in on June 25 and out on June 30 for $105.00 per night. It certainly seems like all their reservation department employees are not all on the same page.

Thanks SharonB for the information. I just got my rooms changed to 2 double beds. the Front Desk seems to get it. I would suggest that anyone else who is trying to get a room not use the Reservation dept. but go right away to the help on the front desk.

Not within 3 miles. Think I may have rates a block at holiday express but about 7 miles away.

I booked at the South Shore Resort and Conference Center last week at their $105 rate after doing a pretty extensive search all around the lake and the nearby communities. The few other hotels that were cheaper were booked solid for that period so I factored in free covered parking, daily convenience, breakfast and good internet service (last year) and signed up at the Conference rate. Had to talk to the Front Desk Manager to find someone who knew about our Conference and block of rooms. Just for what it's worth Folks.

I thought so as well. I even used Connie's suggestion she posted about spelling it out to them. I also told her that several had already mentioned some of the confusion when trying to book rooms and that they had better luck going through the front desk.
