New set of golf award plaques

As a result of the Wounded Warrior Golf award plaques I was asked to create
another set for Louisiana State Troopers Assoc. golf tournament.

That is a beautiful plaque. What kind of wood did you use?

Thanks Tom, the wood I use is Andiroba , after I put on Tung oil, it gives a rich red color,
sometimes I just a high gloss sealer and get the same rich red color.

Other good woods I use for spoons and plaques is Sapele and Alder( a poor man's cherry)
both have tight grains and carve very well.

+1 to sapele. 90% of all my carves is sapele.
