The red locking lever moves to the locked position put won't stay in place.
I tightened the socket head screw. Looked around for a detent. Nothing.
Lever moves freely with some resistance. With lever forward the clutch will ratchet when you try to crank it up or down.
What’s Up??? :? :? :?
Carving OK but worried about brake loosening.
Hey Bard, Chris anybody, help a brother out.
A PDF exploded diagram would be great.
Thanks,
WB

yeah... it doesn't lock.

it is set as a wedge and may work its way out during vibration.

However it is not a critical piece and might very well be removed in a later edition of the machine. When we test machines here we never pull it out.

I hardly ever remember to use the lock. Doesn't seem to make any difference.

Yeah, really can't remeber the last time I used it.

That’s good to know, mine has vibrated in halfway several times, but I wasn’t too worried as my wife, in a haste to remove a carving, never released it and the head still moved up freely.

Thanks Guys.
I think the best thing is to remove the handle and bars.
Less stuff to vibrate free.
