Just did this sign for my son to give to a friend.
It was 18 minutes to carve in pine.
I would prefer hardwoods, the inside frayed a little.

I paint the letters and flower and then sand the surface. I think next time I will pre finish the wood so I get a sharper edge on the letters, There was a tendency to bleed.
