View Full Version : Sign & plaque first timer projects

I got my Carvewright last week and started making sawdust right away. I did the shell project & played with cut depth & feathering, then made the trophy plaque-I'll do 20 trophies for this upcoming race and this was a test design, then jumped on to the saloon sign, a 7 hr carve, I made a pair of them. I had a few issues but worked through them.....So far so good.

These are very basic and were all done with Designer 2.0. I need to learn about scanning & creating, using clip art & loading outside fonts. I also have the scanner probe but it is still in the box.....At my age I don't need overload....:D

Fred, I'm a newbie here also, but a 1951 model. Where do you hang your hat? Best of luck to you!

Hands on is the best way to learn... Leave some extra room on the edges and corners so if U decide to rout they won't collide !!!!
