Had a request to make a cutting board my SIL's friend and this is what i made.
Used the carvewright to do the initial and the juice groove.
It is 14" x17"x1 1/4" thick
Walnut and mineral oil

I always needed a big cutting board when I make my ribs and finally had a weekend to make me one.
Made it with walnut and cherry about 30" x 15"x 1 1/4" thick

I used mineral oil for the finish.
I still need to put a couple more coats on it before I use it.
No CW on this one, Thought about putting handles in the end of it, but the board was to thick and didn't feel like getting the jigsaw out.

You created some beautiful cutting boards! Did you also glue up your boards, if so nice job!

Really nice job on the cutting boards. There seems to be a lot of interest in them these days. I think I have built almost 20 so far this year. Glad you had a friend around to help with the glue ups. I tackled one myself earlier this year that was over 5 feet long by 2 feet wide out of maple. It was a struggle but came out pretty well (the client was very happy, which is what counts). A friend in the shop would have been a big help for sure. Keep up the great work on the boards....
