hey folks..

been buying alot of different lumber /

question is : seems everywhere i go they seem to store it different,

some stand boards up on end/ some place flat ...which is the proper way?

i had some white pine warp on me standing up, but might of been from temp. change..

Flat, but it needs to be supported along the length, not just in 2 places. It will warp if standing up because of gravity. The same thing will happen when horizontal if not supported properly. I think a brace every foot is more than enough, although some say you can space them up to 32" apart (which I don't like). Never lay them on the garage floor as the concrete allows a lot of moisture to move through it. Use spacers every 5 boards high to allow adequate breathing of the boards in the middle.

Store plywood on its side however, not flat. Again not directly on the concrete.
