Looks like stl might be the way to go if you have the stl importer.

Interesting product, the problem with it is the price I'm not saying that it wouldn't be helpful gosh knows I need all the help I can get but I could buy another carvewright machine for $1500.00....

I made a similar device (as have others here) using a line laser level and a program called 123d catch.

The process is a cool, albeit a little "fuzzy"- (which gets better using projector optics instead of a laser
as this one seems to)
