View Full Version : Is it possible to rotate an oval?

I'm making a round plate.
I want to place some ovals, as carved regions, around the edge of the plate, but I want these ovals to follow the contour of the circle that makes a plate.
Does that make sense?

I want these ovals, that I'm placing on the edge of the plate, to turn slightly, as I place them around the edge.

You can not rotate the oval but you can turn it into a pattern by grouping it and selecting "make pattern". then you can rotate as needed.

You can do that with Illustrator or CorelDraw, may be some free type programs that work with vector drawings.

Inkscape is the best free software I found so far for vectors.
