How do you remove the extra portions of a picture frame? The triangle shaped pieces inbetween the patterns?

It seems to me that instead of using a rectangle to remove the central area, you will have to use the vector tools to create a cut path that follows the inner edge of the pattern.
Is this what you want, or is it a case of lowering those triangles to give a flat area along the inner edge ?

I don't have a "vector tool" within my software, but I did figure out how to accomplish what you suggested.

Thanks

Brian - Glad to hear you've sorted it . The vector tools, by the way, are any of the line tools which you should along the top right of the tool bar, next to the selection arrow.

I made the below frame out of pine just fine as a test, then I went to make the finished product out of oak and the bit stalled because it was trying to make a single pass through the entire thickness of the wood.

Is there any way to tell it to cut in multiple passes?

Also, is there a way to taper the inside design down some after it's been drawn?

Any help would be GREAT appreciated!
